Edgar Sosa
Edgar Sosa is the founder, CEO and Lead Consultant of Manufacturing Excellence Institute, he has a 25 year career working in several companies in the Automotive and Manufacturing industries in the United States and Mexico serving in Management leadership roles including Quality Assurance Manager and Plant Manager; in addition Mr. Sosa has academic experience as Professor of MBA students, he also worked as Graduate Assistant in the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering department at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and was elected and served as Vice Chair in the ASQ San Francisco, California section.
He has experience in diverse manufacturing processes including Assembly, Plastics Injection Molding, Fabrication, Machining, Glass and Stamping working with OEM’s, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers manufacturing various products including Electric Vehicles; he also has experience in Start-ups, Ramp-up Production, short term Turnaround Projects, launching new plants and products, implementation of quality systems and while working with tier 1 suppliers he provided launch support and technical customer service to major automotive OEM’s in the U.S. and Mexico including Toyota, GM, Ford, Chrysler and Tesla.
Mr. Sosa holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from New York University, a Master’s degree in Quality from IberoAmerican University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Monterrey Institute of Technology, Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence and Six Sigma Black Belt.
